Issue 5 9/29/11.

Welcome to another edition of my adventures or moreso what I'm going to talk about today. Now be warned for this post contains harsh material kids may not be ready to see.

Let's talk about an EA game that has gotten so much popularity after it's release. The name of the game is called Dead Space it was released for the Xbox 360, PS3, and the PC and got great reviews from gaming critic around the globe. Now for those who think this would be an interesting game to play, be warned, that not only is this an M rated game, it is also one of the scariest videogames of this century.

For those who thought the T. Rex Maze Game was intimidating you wouldn't BELIEVE how hardcore Dead Space is. It has it all, blood, guts, weapons, monsters, viruses, mystery, and plot twists! You play as an engineer named Isaac Clark, who along with other allies investigate what happened to a rather abandoned ship. Even from the very first stage, it's scary, as things continue to jump out at you, and when they're not jumping at you, your constantly saying to yourself that there going to jump at you.

It's a mix of jump scares and atmosphere, many horror themes are present but unlike other horror media, all themes here WORK. While I haven't played the game myself  I have seen many lets plays and even on my phone it's scary! Naturally, one would think, well all we have to do is just shoot the monsters. WRONG!

There is far more to it than that! You can't just shoot the monster and be done with it oh no! You must destroy certain limbs or a certain weak spot to kill it, plus you don't always have gun with you as I'm told.

Bottom line. Very Scary game, don't buy it, unless you have the guts to withstand the horror.

Issue 4 9/14/11.

Today in a startling edition of my adventures we go to the far depths of many unknown perils and upredictability! Yes, all of this will be there without a single graphic! How is this posible you say? Simple, I am talking about Text Adventure Games! The first form of TP (Third Person) entertainment. Now many people think that graphics make the game.

Well back then, graphics weren't an option on the old computers so everything was plain text. Some consider this a down side, but all this possible! All you need is a big imagination to imagine the images, it's that simple. Well not really, you also must be prepared to spend some time on these games for a while, because basically, your barely given any clear direction as to where to go.

I'm serious, you have many options and places to go but you don't know which is the right way and which is a red herring. Yet that's the fun of it. Trying to figure out the game as fast as you can.

But take my word for it. Try it yourself, there are many websites dedicated to reviving text games. Here's one:

Well that's all for now. Until next time!

Issue 3 9/8/11

WOW. This is already my third post in the same day! That's a lot of post for a first timer I think. Anyway, right now I wanted to talk about a film called Super Mario Bros. For those who don't know let me ask you your first question. Yes, there was a movie based on Super Mario Bros, the game. It was released in May 1993 with a poor reception. However, it really doesn't deserve half of the bad reception it gets. For the film has a great interesting concept of the game that has never been thought of.

I personally think it's good as well. Is it the best videogame movie of all time? Well no. Though to be fair, that title isn't hard to get anyway. Yet, it's still a fun, cool looking reimagining of the games we all know and love. But there's more. In 2007, Ryan Hoss, also known as Phlibbit has made a website dedicated to the film and right now it is one of the most well informed fan sites of the movie as of date. Including many interviews and written scripts of the film.

Heres the link to the site for more info: http://www.smbmovie.com/

That is all for now. Until next time.

Issue 2 9/8/11.

Time for another edition of my adventures, moreso what I'm gonna talk about today.

I have watched yet again, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Arguably, one of the best comedies ever made. I simply loved every single thing about it. It is funny, fun, and plain ridiculous. There is almost never a dull moment in this film! It is mainly full of gags and physical humor. That's what I love the most. It has so much old physical humor from the old cartoons, it's amazing!

Actually now that I'm reading this, for some reason I imagine Stan Lee's voice when I'm reading this. O.o Whatever, I'm sure it'll wear off. Stay tuned for next time when I do more stuff. See ya then.

Sincerely

Parker Harmon.

Issue #1 9/8/11.

Welcome! Movie fans, comic fans, and gamers to my blog! This new blog was created by me to have fun with my life. In this new site you will find reviews of comics, movies, and games written by me and only me. You will also find subjects about my religion, my opinions about things and lots of humor! So prepare yourself, for I, Parker Harmon will now retire to do things later. Does that make sense? No?

Ok. Anyway, here I have one rule. Or a couple. One, don't be assholes, and don't be completely be rude to me. No one likes a troll you know. Also, most of the things are opinion based, and all opinions are equal. So don't take my opinion as fact. (Unless I say it's ok. :P) Also, Parents and Parent Groups beware! For this is my own lair. So my rules come into play. And only MY rules!

However, since it may bug you alot, I will warn you on certain posts for what contents the post contains. I also want you to know that I will not post explict adult themes or anything anti religious. For that would be taking it too far. So for now dear readers, farwell.

Sincerely

Parker Harmon.
